Jay Ahern, Asst. Commissioner of US CBP (key note speaker) ICSC annual conference, June 2006.
  1. Certain seal makers and their associations imply with their newsletters, marketing, websites, etc that users must use a C-TPAT seal. CBP says there is no such thing as a C-TPAT seal... can you elaborate?
There is no such thing as a C-TPAT seal only those that are compliant with the current ISO requirements.
  2. The same group imply with their marketing, etc that their products, and theirs alone, are endorsed by CBP. Your response?
CBP and DHS do not endorse any product, firm, or service...implying that is deceptive.
  3. They also make ample use of DHS and CBP logos in their marketing. The DHS website states this is not allowed... can you elaborate?
Anyone that would use CBP and DHS logos to imply our endorsement is involved in fraudulent and deceptive marketing practices.
